Foolishness here. This recently appointed telecom CEO in India (Dmitry Shukov of SSTL) has no qualms in telling a business journalist that “too much competition is bad for business”. You’d think he’d capitalise on this interview by explaining how he would offer a compelling value proposition to *consumers*. Instead of patronising Indian people (who are said to be emotional and enthusiastic!) and moaning about the government.
Thought leadership. A review of Tyler Cowen’s Average is Over. Interesting look at competition in the labour market. Income inequality will continue to rise in the US, but opportunity equality will increase, the book predicts.
